Virginia da Cunha (born 15 June 1981, in Cordoba, Argentina) is an Argentine singer-songwriter, composer and actress. She is best known as a plaintiff in a protracted lawsuit against Google and Yahoo! in Argentina. In her suit, da Cunha alleged that the search engines had damaged her 'moral character' by returning her name and likeness among results for sex related searches. Although the lower courts ruled in favour of da Cunha,〔"Google y Yahoo de Argentina deberán indemnizar a una ex Bandana", clarin.com, 30 July 2009, http://edant.clarin.com/diario/2009/07/30/um/m-01968755.htm〕 the internet companies appealed, and the verdict was overturned. While not alone in suing Yahoo! and Google (similar lawsuits in Argentina, Brazil, and other Latin American nations number over a hundred〔"Argentine court overturns ruling on search engines' link liability", The Register, 25 August 2010, http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/08/25/search_engine_link_liability/print.html〕), amongst similar cases in Argentina, de Cunha's has progressed the furthest.〔"Google and Yahoo Win Appeal in Argentine Case", New York Times, 20 August 2010, https://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/20/technology/internet/20google.html?_r=1〕 She is a member of Argentine all-female band Bandana ==Discography== * ''See Bandana discography.'' * ''Avión'' (Virgin Pancakes) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Virginia da Cunha」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
